Life & Health Sciences Research Expo registration now open

Registration closes April 5 for this May 2 event acknowledging exemplary research and learning activity at the University of Saskatchewan .

The Life & Health Sciences Research Expo at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) is an annual showcase of interdisciplinary life and health science research with over $5,000 in student prizes available. On May 2, 2024, researchers, faculty, staff, senior leaders, and the general public are invited to attend an in-person celebration of outstanding research, collaboration, and mentorship within the health sciences.

The expo includes competition categories exploring basic, translational, clinical, and applied science as well as social and population health.

Based on the quality of the research presented, there may also be additional awards presented for achievement aligning with Indigenous health research, interdisciplinary/interprofessional collaboration, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

  • Submit an abstract for the research poster competition
  • Submit a paper for the Best Paper Award
  • Nominate an outstanding faculty supervisor for the Best Supervisor Awards
  • Volunteer as a judge for the research poster competition
    • The Call for Judges opens March 4
    • Faculty, trainees, and research facilitators from USask with a PhD or equivalent degree are encouraged to participate as judges for the morning session, the afternoon session, or (ideally) both sessions
  • Attend the research presentations and award ceremony to support the outstanding research happening at USask

This event is a wonderful opportunity for members of the university’s research community to come together, collaborate, and support each other. Please save the date and share with those who may be interested in attending, adjudicating, or participating.
