Renovation work progressing on E-Wing third floor

Work is continuing in the Health Sciences Building as part of phased upgrades supporting new and expanding programs, with upcoming activity focused on the third floor of E‑Wing.

Renovation work is continuing in the Health Sciences Building as part of previously announced Health Sciences Building upgrades that support new and expanding programs enabled through the provincial Health Human Resources (HHR) Action Plan.

Beginning in early May, activity will increase on the third floor of E-Wing, directly above the Clinical Learning Resource Centre (CLRC). This work is part of Priority One activities already underway in the building.

What to expect

As activity increases in this area, some short-term disruption is expected. The nature and intensity of impacts may change as work progresses.

Occupants in nearby areas may notice:

  • increased hallway traffic associated with construction activity
  • noise that may be noticeable above and below the work areas

To help reduce the impact of noise during the workday, more disruptive activities are being planned for after-hours whenever feasible. Some daytime disruption is still expected during this phase. Sequencing and timing are being co-ordinated to limit overlap and reduce disruption where possible.

Renovation activity will move through different areas of the Health Sciences Building over time, with additional updates provided as work progresses. Planning and sequencing across phases will support co-ordination to limit disruption as work shifts within the building.
