Become a Simulated Patient (SP) in Regina

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Simulated Patient (SP) at the Regina General Hospital through the University of Saskatchewan’s Health Sciences Learning Centre (HSLC).

The CLRC conducts Simulated Patient intake on a rolling, as-needed basis for our partners’ teaching and exam requirements. To achieve this, SPs must be precisely matched with specific character roles required for learning or assessment sessions. If opportunities matching your demographic are available, you will receive an invitation to an upcoming group information session.

The information requested below is gathered for the purpose of matching SPs to specific roles based on age, sex, body type, and other factors as needed for student learning requirements. It will be kept strictly confidential and will not be loaned or otherwise disclosed.

The SETA Program involves using your body to teach proper technique and communication for well-female (breast, pelvic) and well-male (pelvic, rectal) physical exams. Please read the SETA Job Description on the CLRC website for more information.

  4. I understand that this application form, if complete and if accepted by the Simulated Patient Program, will make me eligible for employment but it does not constitute an employment offer.

  5. I understand that the majority of Simulated Patient work takes place Monday to Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. I understand that, although there may be instances when important personal events may take priority, Simulated Patients are required to have flexible availability to accommodate shift scheduling.

  6. I understand that I must enter into separate written employment agreements with the SPP before I am considered a casual contract worker of the University of Saskatchewan.

  7. I understand that falsification of any of this information or omission of any pertinent information may disqualify me from being offered employment in the future and/or will result in my removal from the SPP roster.

  8. I understand that, if accepted, this roster application will be kept on file indefinitely.
