Workshops

Presentation AnimatedEducational Support & Development offers a wide variety of workshops for faculty, residents, professional staff, and generally anyone who would like to improve their teaching knowledge and skills.  Please visit the workshop section of our web site to find the wide array of topics on offer.  Please note that some of our workshops are scheduled throughout the year but if you see anything you are interested in, please let us know and we will do our best to offer it in a timely fashion for your needs.

Consultation

Consultation AnimatedThe members of ES & D can and have provided consultations on various topics relating to medical education. Curriculum design, assessment, course renovation, peer evaluation, use of technology in the classroom, review of course objectives, online teaching and learning,  are some examples.

Research

Research AnimatedResearch at all levels is an important activity for moving the educational mission of the College of Medicine forward. ES&D conducts original applied education research and sophisticated program evaluation studies to answer important questions about medical education for which there are no readily available answers in the literature. We have presented this research at conferences and in peer reviewed journals.

We can support your research and program evaluation projects in several ways. We can assist with the design of the study, the development of instruments, data collection and analysis, and interpretation. We can even help with the presentation. But we need your ideas and leadership to make it happen. To explore a collaborative research project please contact either Krista Trinder, our Research Coordinator, at 966-5917, krista.trinder@usask.ca or Marcel D'Eon at 966-2756, marcel.deon@usask.ca.

We are looking forward to working with you!
